Sam's Home Hardware is owned and operated by Brad and Jenny Roth. Both raised locally, they love this community and chose to call St. Marys home and to raise their own family here. Brad’s direct hardware retail knowledge and experience is complemented by the skill-set of his wife Jenny. Jenny's MBA background and experience in sales and marketing for Colgate Palmolive has equipped her for practical business management. Also owners of St. Marys Home Building Centre, the hardware store offers complete range of products and services that compliment the building side of their business, and the synergy between the two stores allows them to serve their customers even better.

Awards and Distinctions ​

​In 2017 St. Marys Home Building Centre and Sam's Home Hardware were awarded the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence award in the retail category. Brad, Jenny and staff were recognized for not only the success of the business, but also their generosity to their local community and their efforts towards environmental sustainability. ​

Sam’s Home Hardware has been recognized by Festival Hydro’s retrofit program for their participation in the SaveONenergy conservation program and ongoing efforts to conserve Ontario’s energy. Both Sam’s Home Hardware and the St. Marys Building Centre took part in the program, updating both 10,000 sq ft retail locations with new light fixtures and LED lights.

Home Hardware Stores Limited is owned and operated by independent Home Hardware Dealers across Canada. Founded in 1964 by a small group of hardware retailers, it has grown from an idea into the largest Dealer-Owned hardware and building supply wholesaler in Canada, with membership of over 1000 stores.
